Urban Dog Parks are very common nowadays since many households have dogs. Dogs have become a huge part of our life and taking care of their needs have been necessary in keeping our community intact. I believe that it is important to have these dog parks, because the community can come together through these parks. Dogs can have the right to meet other dogs and engage in more activities than they would if they are at home. There would be more feces disposing sites, and these areas will keep the dogs needs in check. It could help the rest of the community because these parks will have more facilities for these dogs and that can help the dog owners. Altogether this can bring the community together, and people will learn how to adjust.

Community Gardening

Community Gardening is a large area that is gardened by a huge group of people. They garden their crops and vegetables and grow their crops. These communities have been growing for a very long time. They have also had a huge impact in our environment. This area preserves the "green area" for agricultural purposes. People have more access to fresh vegetables, and that helps their health. The people do not have to depend on anyone else for their food and products, making them more secure.

Global Temperature
Medieval Global Temperature Optimum
The Medieval Global Temperature was the time that occurred during 900 C.E. to 1300. This was one of the times when Northern parts of the world were affected with much much warmer conditions. They say that this helped the Vikings travel further because of the lack of icebergs. The topic of Medieval Global Temperature Optimum has been very controversial, especially about the timing and the degree of how severe the warmer temperature. Now it has been clear that the Medieval Warm Period occurred during a time with higher solar radiation and less volcanic activity. They have also found evidence that changes in currents have caused the temperatures to rise.

The Little Ice Age:
The Little Ice Age happened after the Medieval Global Time; this was during the 1300s to the 1870s. This time period was affected by the European expansion of trade and colonization. From data, they say this was caused also by little sunlight and sunspot activity. This indicates colder sun and colder temperature which is completely different from theMedieval Global Time period.

Air Quality in NRiverside, CA
Riverside, CA is known for it's extreme poor air quality. Due to it's continuous consumption of greenhouse gases, and continuous emissions of carbon dioxide. Riverside is known for it's booming automotive industry. Many factories have been built, and the industry boom has had a negative impact on the pollution. About 54,000 children have had asthma attacks in the area, and it has been getting even worse. Since our activities revolve around automobiles and industries, it had been very hard to reduce these factors. They are planning to adapt a stricter policy that follows the Clean Air Act.

METALS- LEAD

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lead
Lead's symbol: Pb. It's a soft, malleable metal. The atomic number is 82 and it's atomic mass is 207.2. This metal has a melting point of 621.43 degrees Fahrenheit, and it is solid at room temperature.
Lead is a common metal used that is being exploited in many ways. Since it is not a free metal, it is that is extracted from the ore of galena (by heating it up in hot air), anglesite, cerussite, and minum, compounds that contain lead. About 1/3 of the lead used in the United States is through recycling. This metal has been used for a very long time. The Ancient Romans used lead to make their water pipes, and it is believed that because of high exposure to lead, the Roman Empire had fell. Some of these water pipes are still found today. Nowadays, lead is used to cover wires in order to protect them from corroding. It was originally in pencils, but was substituted by graphite due to the further knowledge of the harmful effects.
Extreme exposure to lead has been known to have caused many issues for people's health. One issue is the impact it has on the developing nervous system, where it has been said to be one of the big causes of mental retardation. Lead was common in paint, but now have been substituted because of the negative impacts it has been having on people, especially children. Lead paint had been used in many children's toys, especially the ones shipped from China, and now they have been on the lookout and people have been more aware about this situation.

The Timeline of discoveries and important events
In these time periods, the discoveries of various metals and materials are listed. This timeline explains how certain discoveries correlate to certain time periods. We can use this time line and incorporate other discoveries besides the discoveries of metals and other minerals. For example, the Renaissance period happened in the 16th century, when all the enlightenment of new ideas began to prosper. During this time, many metals were discovered after long periods of misery. Then 10000 to 4000 BC, was the time period when Mesopotamia was established, one of the first human civilizations. In 1939, the Manhattan Project began to take place, and the atomic bomb was created. These various dates in the timeline shows how certain discoveries and identification of certain elements correlates to some of the events that took place in our history.

Sustainability of Kerala, India
Sustainability in Kerala
Kerala is known for it's exotic scenery and breathtaking landscape; it's known for their agriculture, fishing industry, and tourism. Many issues of sustainability has risen, especially since monsoon seasons have been harder to handle. There is no source of water drainage system, and therefore the roads are flooded. People are not able to go to work, children are not able to go to school, and tons of people have been killed because of the drainage problems. Houses have been demolished, and the government is not taking initiative in controlling this. As beautiful as rain can be in such greenery, it has caused such a hassle for the people living there, and it's so hard to continue the day with such horrendous weather.
